This month we are focusing on finding your fitness! Not all fitness plans are created equal.  Everyone has their own unique goals or reasons for wanting to be fit.  So find what works for you and remember you get what you put into it.   To quote the legendary Jack LaLanne, “Your health account, your bank account, they’re the same thing. The more you put in, the more you can take out.”

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATES
Beginning Monday, February 2, the Locker Rooms will be closed daily from 9-10am and 9-10pm for a deep cleaning of the floors and showers.  Thanks for your understanding as we work to improve the cleanliness of the Amway Wellness Center!

With the new year comes increased traffic in the Wellness Center. Please be mindful of your time on equipment, wear clean and dry shoes, avoid occupying lockers when you’re not exercising, and wipe down machines after your workout.  CLICK HERE for a refresher on all of the Wellness Center guidelines.

PROGRAMMING & EVENTS
Programming:
  • Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Open House & Member Happy Hours last week!  Congrats to Mary Wierenga the winner of a FREE personal training session! 
  • Fit For You Challenge started January 26th.  There is still time to join in.  CLICK HERE for more info and to register.
  • There are a few spots left for the Move Strong, Live Well Program led by our GVSU Intern Lilli Price!  Program starts February 2 and is a six-week, small group, beginner-friendly strength training and wellness program designed for anyone new to strength training, returning to exercise, or looking for guidance and confidence in the weight room. This program focuses on safe movement, education, and building habits that support long-term health and wellness!  CLICK HERE for more info and to register.
Events:
  • Amway Wellness Center Member Happy Hours coming February 26th.  We will be providing Begin30 samples and discussing Gut Health.  Play Hot Shots Basketball for a chance to win prizes!

  • Tuesdays:  12:15pm - Total Body Strength 45 | 4:15pm -  Pilates 45
  • Wednesdays:  12:15pm -  HIIT 45 | 4:15pm - Yoga 45
  • Thursdays:  7:00am - Tone Up 30 | 12:15pm - Heart Throb Thursday Class Series
    • “Heart Throb Thursday” Edition Classes begin Thursday, February 5 at 12:15pm!  See below for the full schedule.  Grab product samples and Store Coupons after class!  Receive one entry to win a jar of Artistry Supreme LX for each Heart Throb class you take!

*Remember to sign up for classes in advance if you’d like to attend and do your best to remove your name from the class list if you’re unable to attend.  Check in on the iPad in the Group Fitness Room when you arrive!  Scan your badge at the front desk to check into the Amway Wellness Center.  If there are less than 3 people signed up for a class at 5pm the night before, it will be cancelled.
