SELF DEFENSE

Class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00pm - 4:30pm for 3-weeks Starting October 21st - November 6th.

Women’s 360 Degree Personal Protection Program

The Women’s 360 Degree Personal Protection Program is a dynamic three-week training course designed to empower women with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to protect themselves in today’s world. This program combines interactive lectures with practical, hands-on training to build both mindset and physical preparedness.
Participants will learn how to recognize threats early, apply de-escalation strategies, and defend themselves physically if necessary. The training is built to be progressive, realistic, and applicable to everyday life situations.
Schedule & Location
  • Start Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
  • Days & Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Duration: 3 weeks (6 total sessions) = a total of 8 hours.
  • Location: Amway Fitness Center
  • Class Length: 1.5 hours per session
  • Capacity: Up to 40 participants max​

​Training Format
Each class will be divided into:
  1. Lecture/Discussion (Approx. 30 minutes): Foundational knowledge, principles, strategies, and question and answer time.
  2. Hands-On Practical Training (Approx. 60 minutes): Starts with a 10-minute warm-up exercise and stretching, followed by guided practice of techniques and scenario-based activities, building on the reinforcement of the last session's strategies and techniques.

Key Training Topics
The 360 Degree approach ensures participants are prepared mentally, emotionally, and physically for a variety of scenarios:
  1. Situational Attitude, Mindset, & Awareness
  2. Boundary Setting & De-escalation
  3. Physical Defense Skills
  4. Environmental Awareness & Improvised Defense Tactics
  5. 360 Degree Personal Safety Planning

Equipment & Logistics
  • Provided by CoverDown Consulting: All training pads, protective gear, and demonstration equipment.
  • Storage: Equipment will be securely stored at the Amway Fitness Center for the duration of the 3-week program, eliminating the need for transportation and saving valuable time.
