SEPTEMBER

Picture
This month we’re focusing on Inflammation.  Chronic inflammation can contribute to a variety of health concerns, including heart disease, diabetes, joint pain, and reduced immune function. While inflammation is a natural response that helps the body heal and fight infection, ongoing low-grade inflammation can place stress on the body over time. Reducing inflammation through healthy lifestyle habits can improve overall health, energy levels, and long-term well-being.

Ways to Reduce Inflammation:
  • Eat more anti-inflammatory foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and fatty fish rich in omega-3s.
  • Stay physically active with regular exercise, aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity per week.
  • Prioritize quality sleep, targeting 7-9 hours per night to support recovery and immune health.
  • Manage stress through activities such as deep breathing, meditation, yoga, or spending time outdoors.
  • Limit processed foods, added sugars, excessive alcohol, and smoking, all of which can promote inflammation in the body.

"Hidden inflammation is at the root of most chronic diseases." ~ Dr. Mark Hyman
